As part of the ongoing Kushal Kalyan Yatra, Goa Governor Shri P.S. Sreedharan Pillai visited the historic Sri Kalika Devi temple located in Kasarpal village under the Latabarse panchayat. During his visit, the Governor explored 18th-century artifacts preserved in the local temple museum and interacted with locals to understand the region’s cultural richness.

Speaking to the media, Governor Pillai shared that he has already visited more than half of Goa's major temples, and aims to complete the full circumambulation of temple sites within a week. The yatra, he said, is intended to invoke blessings of prosperity and well-being for the people of Goa.

The Kushal Kalyan Yatra marks the fifth such outreach initiative undertaken by the Governor. Previous yatras include the Rural Contact Yatra, Forest Area Yatra, Island Yatra, and Hill Area Yatra, each aimed at strengthening community engagement across different terrains of the state.

Governor Pillai also announced plans to compile a book based on the findings of these yatras.

“The book will document Goa’s preserved temples, surrounding heritage sites, and archaeological significance, offering a rich cultural narrative for future generations,” he said.

The Governor confirmed that the full yatra across Goa will be completed within the week, further strengthening the state’s efforts to celebrate and preserve its spiritual and cultural identity.
