In a transformative move toward digital governance, the Goa government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google LLC to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into public administration. The partnership aims to create smarter, faster, and more inclusive public services by leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies.
As part of the agreement, Google will also extend support for AI training programs targeted at government employees and Goan youth. The goal is to foster a tech-skilled, future-ready workforce and accelerate the state's digital journey.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant described the collaboration as a milestone in Goa’s digital transformation. “This partnership with Google will enable us to unlock new efficiencies in governance and empower our youth with skills essential for the future,” he said.
The initiative is expected to improve service delivery, streamline administrative processes, and build capacity within departments to harness emerging technologies. AI pilot projects will soon be launched across key government sectors, with training modules scheduled to begin later this year.
