Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has announced a major reshuffle in Goa’s public healthcare system aimed at optimizing manpower and improving rural health services. As part of the new strategy, doctors who complete their service bonds at the Goa Medical College (GMC) are likely to be posted in rural and underserved regions of the state.

The minister also confirmed that the government has approved salary hikes for senior and resident doctors, signaling a move to retain talent and boost morale across medical institutions.

"We are working to ensure the availability of specialist doctors across all regions, along with improving healthcare infrastructure to meet modern standards," said Rane.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen Goa's health delivery system and make medical services more accessible to all citizens.
