Goa Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho attended a Round Table on the SwachhBharat Mission–Grameen at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The discussions focused on advancing sanitation and waste management in rural areas, with particular emphasis on ODF Plus villages, greywater and solid waste management.
Initiatives such as GOBARdhan biogas plants, aimed at converting cattle dung and organic waste into energy, were also highlighted during the session. Officials and experts deliberated on strategies to enhance rural sanitation, promote sustainable waste solutions, and accelerate the Swachh Bharat Mission’s objectives across villages.
Minister Godinho’s participation reflects Goa’s commitment to adopting innovative waste management practices and supporting national efforts toward cleaner and greener rural communities.
