Goa Leaders Slam Indoco Pharma for Advertising Jobs Outside State, Demand Immediate Withdrawal

Two prominent Goan political leaders — Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai and Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) leader Manoj Parab — have strongly criticized Indoco Remedies Ltd, accusing the pharmaceutical firm of bypassing local candidates and advertising employment opportunities outside Goa.

In separate statements, both leaders alleged that the company, despite operating in the state, has failed to prioritize Goan youth for job opportunities. They demanded that Indoco Pharma immediately withdraw the job advertisement and ensure local residents are given fair access to employment.

“This is a clear insult to Goan talent,” said Sardesai, warning of public backlash if the company fails to amend its hiring practices. Manoj Parab echoed the sentiment, stating, “We will not allow Goan jobs to be outsourced while qualified locals remain unemployed.”

The controversy erupted after a job advertisement circulated outside Goa, prompting outrage among job seekers and local activists. Both parties have called for transparency in the recruitment process and urged the state government to intervene if necessary.

The company has yet to issue a formal response.
