The Fatorda police on Wednesday arrested 38-year-old Krishna Roy for the alleged murder of his wife, Karishma Roy, aged 28. The arrest followed a preliminary investigation into a suspected domestic dispute that escalated fatally.
According to police officials, the couple was involved in a heated argument inside their residence, which reportedly led to the violent incident. Authorities believe the altercation turned deadly, resulting in Karishma’s death.
Karishma’s body has been sent to the morgue for preservation and a postmortem examination. The autopsy report is expected to provide further clarity on the cause and time of death, which will be crucial to the ongoing investigation.
Police said they are continuing to question the accused and collect forensic and testimonial evidence to build the case.
