Goa Medical College to launch specialist outpatient services at Tuem Hospital
Published on

Goa Medical College (GMC) specialists are soon set to begin operating outpatient services at Tuem Hospital, marking a significant step toward healthcare collaboration in the region. This development is part of a planned tie-up between Goa Medical College and Tuem Hospital, aimed at enhancing access to specialized medical care for residents in and around Pernem taluka. The initiative will enable patients at Tuem Hospital to benefit from the expertise of GMC’s specialists without needing to travel to Goa’s main medical hub at Bambolim.

The tie-up intends to decentralize healthcare delivery by extending tertiary care services closer to rural populations, thereby reducing the burden on Goa Medical College and improving patient convenience. The outpatient services to be introduced will cover various medical specialties, aligning with GMC’s broader vision to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across Goa. This collaboration is expected to improve diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, leveraging the advanced medical knowledge and facilities available at the college.
