The IMD reported moderate to heavy rainfall across most parts of the State, with very heavy to extremely heavy rain recorded at isolated locations.

Other areas included Mapusa (3.8 inches), Quepem (3.9 inches), Panjim and Pernem (3.5 inches each), Old Goa and Dabolim (3.3 inches each), Mormugao (2.2 inches), and Sanquelim (1.4 inches).
An IMD official stated, “Very heavy rainfall at isolated places with heavy rainfall at a few places is very likely over North Goa and South Goa districts on June 14, 15 and 16. Heavy rainfall is also likely at isolated places in both districts on June 17, 18 and 19.”
The orange alert indicates preparedness for extremely heavy rainfall and possible disruption, while the yellow alert suggests the possibility of heavy rain requiring watchfulness.
