Pakistani National Deported; 1,600 Suspected Individuals Detained in Preventive Action

In a major statewide security operation, Goa Police conducted intensive combing drives across North and South Goa on April 29, verifying a total of 12,828 tenants and domestic workers. The move comes as part of an ongoing crackdown on unlawful activities and heightened vigilance ahead of key public events.

As part of the drive, a Pakistani national who was found overstaying in the state was deported by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), Goa. Police also detained and arrested 1,605 suspected individuals under preventive action to ensure law and order.

Authorities confirmed that the operation is part of a broader initiative to enhance public safety and monitor illegal occupancy and undocumented residents. The special drive is set to continue in the coming days, with police appealing to citizens to cooperate and report any suspicious activities.
