Two school-going minors reported missing from the Cuncolim Police Station jurisdiction in South Goa have been successfully traced and rescued by the Goa Police in Nashik, Maharashtra. The operation, which underscores strong interstate coordination, also led to the arrest of a man from Uttar Pradesh currently residing in Cuncolim, suspected of involvement in the case.

The minors were reported missing earlier this week, prompting swift action by local authorities. Cuncolim Police immediately registered a missing persons case and launched a thorough investigation. By analyzing call records and acting on specific leads, officers tracked the children’s movement beyond Goa.

Once it was confirmed that the minors had been taken to Nashik, Goa Police worked closely with their counterparts in Maharashtra to carry out a coordinated rescue. The children were located safely and are now being brought back to Goa for reunification with their families.

The arrested individual, a native of Uttar Pradesh, is being interrogated to determine his role and possible motives in the case. Investigators are also probing whether he acted alone or is part of a larger network. His arrest is expected to provide crucial insights into the circumstances surrounding the abduction.
