Goa Tourism wrapped up its participation at TTF Kolkata 2025 on a high note, winning the prestigious "Best Destination for Regenerative Tourism" award. The recognition highlights Goa’s progressive tourism vision that prioritizes not just sustainability, but active restoration of local communities and ecosystems.

The award was received by the official Goa delegation led by Dhiraj Wagle (Deputy Director of Tourism), Akshay Govenkar (Marketing Manager, GTDC), and Kapil Nadkarni (UDC, Department of Tourism). Over the course of the three-day event, held from July 10–12 at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, the Goa team engaged with tourism boards, travel companies, and hospitality professionals, opening avenues for future collaboration and partnerships.

The Goa Tourism pavilion drew consistent attention from trade visitors and travel enthusiasts, generating strong interest in Goa’s new travel campaigns and curated experiences. Visitors responded enthusiastically to Goa’s emphasis on regenerative tourism—a model that not only protects natural and cultural heritage but actively enhances it.

Tourism Director Kedar Naik noted a surge in curiosity about Goa’s offbeat trails, especially in the hinterlands. Deputy Director Dhiraj Wagle emphasized that the award affirms the department’s commitment to offering immersive, inclusive, and responsible tourism experiences.

Among the highlights were flagship initiatives like Goa Beyond Beaches, the Ekadasha Teertha spiritual trail, Glow On Arrival, and interactive elements including VR storytelling, digital QR trails, and live cultural showcases. Spot booking counters, supported by local hotels and tour partners, also helped convert interest into real-time travel plans.

Goa Tourism thanked its partners and visitors for their continued support and reiterated its vision of making every traveler a participant in the state’s journey toward regeneration and community upliftment.
