Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that the Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC) has advertised 752 government posts, with examinations for several positions already conducted and others currently in progress. The announcement was made during the inauguration of the newly renovated GSSC office at Patto, Panaji.
Highlighting the state government's commitment to transparent recruitment, CM Sawant noted that recent reforms—particularly the introduction of computer-based examinations with instant result generation—have significantly enhanced public trust in government hiring processes.
"Such measures have ensured transparency, efficiency, and fairness in recruitment, which was previously a matter of concern," CM Sawant said. He added that going forward, all government recruitments will be conducted exclusively through the GSSC, reinforcing the commission’s central role in ensuring merit-based selection.
The Chief Minister also pointed out that the Personnel Department continues to send reminders to all government departments, urging them to submit details about vacant posts to streamline the recruitment drive.
He praised the proactive role of the GSSC in executing recruitment drives and emphasized that this centralized, digitalized approach would help eliminate delays and malpractice in the hiring process.
The GSSC’s enhanced infrastructure and upgraded systems are expected to accelerate recruitment timelines and meet staffing needs across various state departments, further strengthening administrative efficiency in Goa.
