Goa will host the International Coastal Cleanup Awareness Camp 2025 on 20th September, focusing on protecting marine life under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14.1. Coordinated by the Indian Coast Guard since 2006, the campaign aims to promote cleaner and greener coastal environments.
With Goa’s 103 km coastline and rich marine biodiversity, the initiative will cover 20 beaches, including Miramar, Baina, Bogmalo, Colva, Baga, and Arambol.
Citizens, NGOs, schools, and corporate organizations are encouraged to volunteer and participate in the movement, which aligns with the Swachh Bharat mission and seeks to inspire sustainable community living for future generations.
The event highlights Goa’s commitment to environmental conservation and raising awareness about the importance of protecting life below water.
