In a major boost to the state’s film-friendly policy, Goa will roll out a single-window system for film shooting permissions starting September 1, 2025, announced Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) Vice Chairman Delilah Lobo.

The initiative aims to streamline the approval process for filmmakers, making it faster, more transparent, and hassle-free. Currently, multiple clearances are required from different authorities, often causing delays for film crews shooting in the state.

“With this system, Goa will further strengthen its position as a preferred filming destination by ensuring ease of access for producers while maintaining necessary checks and regulations,” Lobo said.

Goa has long been a popular backdrop for both Indian and international films, and officials believe the new mechanism will encourage more productions, thereby boosting local employment and tourism.
