PANJIM: The Goa Traffic Police on Monday seized as many as 17 rented cars used by tourists, as they were registered as private vehicles.

“Renting out private vehicles without authorisation is illegal and punishable under the law. As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure road safety and compliance with regulations, 17 such cases were booked across Goa on October 14, by Goa Traffic Police. Action will continue against such violations,” SP Traffic, Goa, posted on their X handle.
