
In a remarkable academic achievement, Goa University has been awarded an A+ grade with a CGPA of 3.3 in the latest cycle of accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The accreditation is valid up to the year 2030, marking a significant improvement from the university's previous B+ rating.
The upgraded score reflects substantial progress in key areas such as academic excellence, research output, infrastructure development, and student support services. University officials hailed the new grade as a validation of Goa University’s commitment to quality education and institutional growth.
“This is a proud moment for all of us. The A+ grade affirms our efforts to foster innovation, academic rigour, and inclusive learning,” said Vice-Chancellor Prof. Harilal Menon.
The university now ranks among the top-performing higher education institutions in the country under NAAC's stringent evaluation system. The A+ status is also expected to enhance the university’s eligibility for national and international collaborations, funding opportunities, and student exchange programs.
