Goan filmmaker Addy de Quepem screened his latest Konkani film, Puravo, at Ambaulim, Quepem, on Friday, drawing an enthusiastic response from the local audience. The one-hour thriller was produced in just six days—one day of shooting followed by five days of editing—demonstrating the filmmaker’s creativity and efficiency.

Despite being a low-budget project, the film struck a chord with viewers, particularly because all the actors were local Goan talents, adding cultural depth and authenticity to the narrative.

Addy, known for his popular short films and tiatrs that have garnered strong social media viewership, said he remains committed to promoting Goan art and culture through his work. He highlighted the challenges faced by local filmmakers working without state support and appealed to the Goa government to provide platforms and assistance for Konkani tiatrists and filmmakers.
