Showcasing Goan talent on the global stage, the Konkani short film “Ancessao”, directed by young filmmaker Manguirish J. Bandodkar, has been officially selected for the International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) Toronto 2025.
The selection marks a proud moment for Goa’s creative community, as the film festival is one of the largest platforms celebrating South Asian cinema and filmmakers worldwide.
Bandodkar, among the new generation of Goan storytellers, has been receiving appreciation for his unique narrative style and commitment to bringing Konkani culture and stories to international audiences.
The recognition at IFFSA Toronto is expected to open more opportunities for the filmmaker and highlight the growing global appeal of Konkani cinema.
