Review Meeting Held at Mantralaya to Finalise Land Transfer, Infrastructure, and Staff Recruitment

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has confirmed that Goa’s much-awaited Veterinary College will commence operations in the upcoming academic year, asserting that there will be “no delays” in the project rollout.

Chairing a high-level review meeting at Mantralaya, CM Sawant directed concerned officials to adhere to strict timelines and ensure seamless coordination with the Government of India. The meeting focused on fast-tracking key aspects of the project, including land transfer, infrastructure upgrades, faculty recruitment, laboratory setup, and the establishment of livestock farms.

“I have instructed officials to ensure that all groundwork is completed on time. The Veterinary College will begin functioning this academic year without fail,” the Chief Minister announced following the meeting.

The project is a significant step toward strengthening veterinary education and animal healthcare services in the state. Once operational, the college is expected to serve as a centre for academic excellence and research in veterinary sciences across the region.
