The fact-finding committee probing the Goa University (GU) paper leak case has completed its investigation and submitted its final report to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. The committee was headed by retired Judge R.M.S. Khandeparkar and tasked with examining the circumstances surrounding the leak and identifying lapses in the examination process.

Responding to media queries, Chief Minister Sawant confirmed the receipt of the report and stated, “I have received the report and I have forwarded it to the Secretary of Education for further action.”

While the details of the report remain confidential for now, the development marks a crucial step forward in addressing one of the most serious academic controversies faced by Goa University in recent times. Stakeholders, including students and faculty, are now awaiting the government’s decision on the committee’s recommendations.

Officials said appropriate action will be taken once the Education Department reviews the findings and suggestions made by the committee.
