Verna Police have arrested Kapil Manish Kumar (26), a native of Panchkula, Haryana, for allegedly stealing a two-wheeler and cash from a fast food outlet in Cortalim.
According to police, the accused committed the theft recently and was tracked down during the course of the investigation. The stolen two-wheeler has been recovered, and efforts are underway to trace the stolen cash.
A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code has been registered. Verna Police said further interrogation is ongoing to determine whether the accused is linked to any other thefts in the area.
Police have urged local businesses to enhance security measures and report any suspicious activity immediately.
