
Bastora witnessed a proud and historic mo-ment as the village came to-gether to celebrate its very first Sarvajanik Ganeshot-sav. With devotion and uni-ty at its core, the celebration began with prayers to Lord Ganesh, seeking blessings of peace, prosperity, and harmony for all.
Ranjit Usgaonkar, presi-dent of the Bastora Sarvajan-ik Ganesh Mandal, expressed his joy and gratitude.
"I feel very happy that, for the first time, we are cele brating a Sarvajanik Ganesh in Bastora. This installation was only possible because of the wholehearted sup-port of our villagers. After following all the required rituals and procedures, we are blessed to witness this day. On this special occa-sion, I wish everyone a Hap-py Ganesh Festival."
Fondly referred to as 'Bos-tordcho Raza, the Sarvajan-ik Ganesh idol will remain installed for 11 days, with a series of devotional and cul-tural programs lined up. On September 5, a Satyanarayan Pooja will be performed, fol-lowed by a Mahaprasad for devotees. The celebrations
will conclude with the Vis-arjan on September 6, when villagers from Bastora and nearby areas will join the procession.
Sainath Polji, a devotee said that the spirit of team-work that made this land-mark event possible:
Usgaonkar further in-formed that with the sup-port of all devotees, we decided to install the Sar-vajanik Ganesh in Bastora To ensure smooth organi-sation, we formed commit-tees and delegated tasks such as decoration, light-ing cleaning, poojas, and other arrangements. Each person came forward with dedication, completing their work well in advance. The entire process was well coordinated under the leadership of our pres-ident, Ranjit Usgaonkar. Many youths also stepped forward, lending their sup-port wholeheartedly."
The Bastora Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandal hopes to make this an annual tradi-tion, growing in scale and devotion each year. As the celebrations unfold, the people of Bastora pray that Lord Ganesh blesses every devotee and fulfills their heartfelt wishes.
