
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alert for June 12, 13 and 14, 2025, forecasting heavy rainfall at isolated places in both the districts and yellow alert for June 11, 15 and 16, 2025.
"Thunderstorm and lightning with strong surface winds with speed 30-40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph is very likely at isolated places over North Goa and South Goa districts on June 12, 13 and 14,” the IMD said.

However, as per the IMD, though monsoon set in early this year but the State has experienced decreased in the seasonal rainfall.
As per the data, the state has received 3.77 inches of rainfall as against normal rainfall of 7 inches of rainfall, registering a decrease of 46.9%. Meanwhile, Quepem received 0.9 inches of rainfall while Sanquelim 0.8 inches of rainfall during the last 24 hours recorded at 8.30 am of June 10, 2025.
