IndiGo flight 6E 6271, operating on the Delhi–Goa route, was diverted to Mumbai on Thursday following a technical snag, the airline confirmed.
A spokesperson for IndiGo stated that the aircraft was rerouted as a precautionary measure and will undergo detailed checks and maintenance before it is cleared to resume operations. To minimize passenger inconvenience, an alternate aircraft was promptly arranged to ensure completion of the journey to Goa.
“All necessary protocols were followed, and passengers were kept informed throughout. Their safety is our top priority,” the IndiGo spokesperson added.
The airline assured that it is working closely with technical teams to address the issue and maintain its high safety standards.
