PANJIM: A 15-year-old minor boy, who was injured in a self-accident at Old Goa while riding a two-wheeler on Wednesday, Sept 18, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, Sept 21.
According to police, the teenager, while proceeding from Corlim Road towards Merces Circle and when reached near Old Goa Darga, he hit a 76-year-old man identified as Usman Shaikh from Darga Peribhat. Both sustained grievous injuries and were rushed to hospital.
The police have also booked Savitri Kumar, mother of the deceased, for allowing her son to ride the two-wheeler in a rash and negligent manner.
An offence has been registered at Old Goa Police Station under Sec 281, 125(B) and 106 of BNS and Sec 4 and 180 of MV Act.
