INSV Tarini Returns to Goa After Historic Global Voyage Led by Women Naval Officers

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh officially welcomed the Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini back to Goa following its remarkable eight-month-long global circumnavigation. The vessel, which sailed across several oceans and continents, was notably commanded by two pioneering women officers of the Indian Navy, marking a significant milestone in maritime history and gender empowerment.

The ceremonial "flag-in" event celebrated the successful completion of the voyage, highlighting the courage, endurance, and navigational skills of the crew. Minister Singh praised the officers for their extraordinary achievement, calling it a testament to India's growing prowess in naval exploration and a proud moment for the nation.

The mission not only showcased India’s naval capabilities but also underscored the increasing role of women in defense forces, breaking barriers and inspiring future generations.
