PONDA: Persistent internet connectivity issues at the Dharbandora Road Transport Office (RTO) have disrupted services for over two weeks, leaving locals frustrated and inconvenienced. Many residents, who took leave to complete their paperwork at the office, returned disappointed as the problem remained unresolved.
According to sources, road digging for ongoing infra development in the area has damaged internet cables, impacting the office's operations. Locals reported that such disruptions have occurred before and urged authorities to find a permanent solution.
An RTO official confirmed that a memorandum requesting immediate restoration of internet connectivity had been sent to the relevant authorities, but no repair work has begun so far.
Adding to the woes, the RTO office currently functions from a building within the premises of the Sanjivani Sugar Factory, which has asked the office to vacate the premises. Dharbandora locals have suggested relocating the RTO office to the Transport Department’s building at the Mollem Check Post, which they believe is better equipped to support the office’s operations.
Residents and officials are now eagerly awaiting a response from authorities to resolve the internet issue and address the office's relocation challenges to ensure smoother functioning and minimal disruption to public services.
