The alert spans parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, and several other states, indicating the potential for significant weather disruptions. Citizens are urged to remain cautious, particularly in areas expecting very heavy downpours.
Delhi is expected to see generally cloudy skies with intermittent rain showers and thunderstorms over the next three days:
July 22: Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning under cloudy skies. Temperatures will range between 31–33°C (max) and 24–26°C (min), slightly below normal for this period.
July 23: Very light to light rain with continued cloud cover and thunderstorm activity. Temperatures will remain around 31–33°C (max) and 23–25°C (min), with the minimum dipping 2–4°C below normal.
July 24: Partly cloudy skies with very light rain likely. A slight rise in daytime temperature is expected, with the maximum reaching 34–36°C and the minimum between 24–26°C.
July 22: Orange alerts have been issued for key districts in:
Jammu & Kashmir: Including Poonch, Mirpur, Jammu, Kathua, and others
Uttarakhand: Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag
Maharashtra: Raigad, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, among others
Goa: North Goa and South Goa
Telangana: Kamareddy, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and more
July 23: Alerts continue for parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Odisha.
July 24: Heavy rainfall is expected to shift toward districts in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, and Bihar, while remaining active in Maharashtra and Jammu & Kashmir.
