
Konkan Railway Police seized 347.5 kg of suspicious red meat, falsely declared as goat meat, worth Rs. 1,04,250. The consignment, transported from Belagavi to Margão aboard the Goa Express (Train No. 12780), was discovered abandoned near the Parcel Office.
Veterinary and health officials confirmed the meat was unfit for human consumption. A case has been filed under the Goa Animal Preservation Act and Railway Act. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the source and uncover the details behind this illegal shipment.
