CALANGUTE: The Calangute Block Congress Committee held a protest on Saturday near Piety Chapel, Khobra Vaddo, to draw attention to the deteriorating condition of roads in the area. Protesters, including local residents and committee members, expressed their frustration over the government's inaction, stating, “Calangute’s roads are in shambles, causing hardships for locals and tourists alike.”

Participants demanded immediate repair and maintenance of village roads, emphasising the need for the government to prioritize infrastructure improvements. “We must preserve Calangute's beauty and our livelihood,” they said, calling for long-term solutions to combat seasonal flooding and increased funding for infrastructure development.
