Man found dead in apartment in Cortalim, police say no foul play

MARGAO: Abdul Gaffar Vazirsab Angadi, a resident of Amonkar House, Dumea Bhat, Cortalim, was found dead in an apparent suicide on the morning of September 30.

According to the Verna police, an inquiry revealed that Abdul Gaffar returned home from work around 8:30 pm, had dinner, and spent time watching television in the living room. His family found him hanging from the ceiling the following morning.

Emergency services were called, and his body was transported to South Goa District Hospital in Margao, where the attending doctor declared him brought dead. The police conducted an inquest and scene panchnama at the hospital and the location of the incident. The body has been preserved at the hospital for further medico-legal formalities.

Authorities have stated that no suicide note was found during their investigation, and the motive behind this tragic event remains unknown.
