The Mandre Congress Committee on Monday formally submitted a statement to the Mandre Police Station expressing concern over the growing number of thefts reported in the Mandre constituency.
Led by Committee President Narayan Redkar and Vice President Miguel Fernandes, the delegation included prominent members Ajit Parab, Wilson Fernandes, Jayram Nagvekar, Duming D'Souza, Subhash Redkar, Namdev Tulskar, Anant Naik, and Gangaram Mandrekar.
The group urged the police to take immediate and effective measures to curb the increasing incidents of theft, which have left residents feeling unsafe. They emphasized the need for increased patrolling, surveillance, and faster investigation into recent cases.
Police officials acknowledged receipt of the complaint and assured the delegation that the matter would be taken seriously and appropriate action would be initiated.
The Mandre Congress Committee plans to follow up on the issue if no visible action is taken in the coming weeks.
