Mandrem police have arrested six individuals in connection with the assault on a former Mandrem sarpanch. The arrested include Vishwanath Harijan (Old Goa), Suresh Naik (Porvorim), Sairaj Govekar (Pilerne), Franky Nadar (St Cruz), Manish Hadfadkar (Chorao), and Uddesh Shetty (Altinho).
All six were taken into custody from Karwar. Earlier, on December 5, police had already arrested one person in connection with the case.
Authorities continue to investigate the matter and are questioning the suspects regarding their alleged involvement in the attack.
