Mapusa JMFC Court Sends Two to Police Custody for Forging Will to Grab Ancestral Land in Corjuem

The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court in Mapusa has remanded Devidas Panjikar and Vaman Polle to five days of police custody after their arrest in a case involving the alleged forgery of a will.

The duo is accused of forging the will of the late Anant Narayan Kamat in an attempt to illegally claim ancestral land located in Corjuem. Police allege that the forged document was used to assert ownership over the property, raising serious concerns about fraudulent land claims in the region.

Investigations are currently underway to ascertain the extent of the forgery and identify any additional individuals involved.
