MARGAO: The much-anticipated Saras Fair, dedicated to supporting and promoting rural artisans, will be held at the open space grounds of Ravindra Bhavan in Margao from December 9 to 20.

The fair will be open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, providing a platform for local artisans to showcase their craft. This year, the fair will feature only Goan artisans, ensuring that the spotlight remains on local talent.

The State’s thriving tourism industry, with its influx of both local and foreign visitors, provides a valuable market for handmade products.

This fair aims to help rural artisans gain recognition for their work while offering a wide array of unique handmade goods.

Around 120 Goan rural artisans will participate in this year’s event, offering a diverse range of products, from crafts to traditional goods. The fair is supported by the Ministry of Rural Development under its National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).
