Commuters and bus drivers are grappling with major difficulties due to large potholes at the exit of the KTC Bus Stand in Panjim. The poor road condition is not only disrupting traffic flow but also poses a risk of vehicle damage and accidents.
While authorities have attempted a temporary fix by placing concrete blocks over the potholes, the solution has proven insufficient. Bus drivers report frequent jolts and delays, and passengers say the situation worsens during peak hours, leading to congestion and safety concerns.
“The concrete blocks are just a stopgap — they shift and break easily. What we need is a proper resurfacing of the area,” said a bus driver on duty.
Frustrated commuters are now calling on the city’s municipal and transport authorities to implement a long-term repair plan to ensure smooth and safe travel at one of the city’s busiest transit points.
