Reacting to media queries on the recent Usgao accident that claimed the life of 52-year-old Rajaram Tulekar, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane stated that paperwork is already in progress with the Public Works Department (PWD) to address the issue.
“The paperwork is already ongoing with the PWD, and I have called for a meeting with the Executive Engineer, Junior Engineer, and other concerned officials,” Rane said, indicating that remedial action is being taken.
The fatal accident, allegedly caused by a pothole, has sparked public outrage and renewed calls for immediate road repairs. Rane’s response comes amid mounting pressure on the government to improve road safety, especially during the monsoon season.
