Missing Kerala Woman Traced in Goa, Located at Baga Beach with Alleged Partner

Joint Operation by Kerala and Goa Police Leads to Safe Recovery Following Missing Complaint Filed by Husband

In a coordinated effort between the Kerala Police and the Goa Tourist Police Unit (TPU), a woman reported missing in Kerala was successfully traced to Baga Beach, Goa, along with the man she had allegedly eloped with.

The Kerala Police team arrived at the Tourist Police Unit in Calangute on April 22, acting on Missing Complaint No. 360/2025 filed by Mr. Jaggan under Section 57 of the Kerala Police Act. The complaint alleged that his wife had absconded with a man identified as Mr. Vishnu A.

Upon receiving the details, PI Jatin Potdar of the Tourist Police Unit briefed his team and initiated discreet intelligence-gathering efforts. Acting swiftly, PC-9086 Omkar Kauthankar gathered crucial leads, which led to the discovery of the missing woman and Mr. Vishnu A. at Baga Beach.

Following the recovery, the Kerala Police team was summoned to the Calangute Tourist Police Unit. The woman and Mr Vishnu were formally handed over to the visiting officers in the presence of her in-laws for further legal proceedings.

The case highlights the importance of inter-state police cooperation and timely intelligence in swiftly resolving sensitive missing person cases.
