Mount Litera Zee School was thrown into a state of alert on Tuesday morning after receiving a bomb threat via email, prompting swift action from police and bomb detection units. Fortunately, the threat turned out to be a hoax.

DySP Gurudas Kadam confirmed that he was informed by school authorities about the threat. “We received a call from the school regarding an email threatening a bomb inside the premises. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) was immediately dispatched,” Kadam said.

The entire school campus was thoroughly searched by the BDDS team, and no suspicious items were found. The premises were declared safe following a detailed sweep.

Principal of the school urged parents to remain calm and not give in to panic. “We appeal to all parents to cooperate with the authorities. The safety of our students is our top priority, and all protocols were followed,” the Principal stated.

Police are currently investigating the source of the email and have not ruled out the possibility of tracing the sender.

Authorities assured that necessary precautions will continue to be taken and that there is no immediate threat to the students or staff.
