
Two separate road accidents were reported in Goa, leaving several injured and raising concerns over road safety in the state.
On the NH 66 Margao-Canacona route at Gulem, a three-vehicle collision involving two motorcycles and a scooter resulted in injuries to all three riders. The incident prompted a swift response from Canacona Coastal Belt PI Navlesh Dessai, who rushed to the scene and ensured the injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
In a separate incident during the early hours, a self-accident occurred on Goa University Road when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car crashed into a divider after veering off the road. No serious injuries were reported at the time of filing this report.
Authorities are investigating both incidents and have urged motorists to exercise caution, especially during late-night and early-morning hours.
