Mumbai–Goa Highway Nears Completion: Panvel–Indapur Stretch Set for December Finish
Published on

After years of missed deadlines, the Panvel–Indapur stretch of the Mumbai–Goa highway is finally nearing the finish line, with a December completion target,if we go with the reports.

Officials revealed that the 84 km section is nearly done, with only 4 km left. The work is divided into two equal packages — Panvel to Kasu and Kasu to Indapur.

On 18 August, CM Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar are scheduled to review progress at the site.

The project has long been a headache for commuters, slowed by contractor issues and financial hurdles. If the new timeline holds, it could finally ease bottlenecks along one of Maharashtra’s busiest routes. The wider highway covers 555 km, mostly in Maharashtra, with the final stretch in Goa.
