The North Goa District Police arrested 66 individuals under preventive measures during a week-long crackdown on nuisance and unlawful activities from September 8 to 14. Police said the drive covered multiple offences, including 53 cases of public drinking, 297 violations under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), and 116 instances of smoking and spitting in public places. In addition, seven touts were apprehended as part of the intensified enforcement operation.
