BJP State President Damu Naik announced that the portfolios of the two newly sworn-in ministers will be allotted on Monday.
He said the decision was taken in accordance with Hindu traditions, which emphasize performing important tasks during auspicious times as per the Panchang and Muhurta.
Naik was addressing the media during a four-day market organized by the BJP Yuva Morcha and Mahila Morcha at the Gujarati Community Hall in Margao. The event was attended by senior BJP leader and newly inducted Minister Digambar Kamat, and Ramesh Tawadkar.
Explaining the delay in portfolio allocation, Naik said, “Though the oath-taking ceremony has already been completed, the portfolios were intentionally not distributed immediately. In Hinduism, significant deeds are done at an auspicious time. The allocation of portfolios will happen on Monday, the day of Dam Baba, which is considered highly favourable.”
