MARGAO: After assuming the role of President of the Tiatr Academy (Goa), Anthony Barbosa pledged to move forward with the proposal of constructing a tiatr bhavan to benefit the tiatr community as a whole.

In the presence of other board members appointed by the government, Barbosa announced that his committee will soon meet with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to discuss the issues and challenges facing the Tiatr Academy, as well as to seek additional support.

“There are plans to construct a tiatr bhavan, and this will be prioritized. I am committed to promoting tiatr on a global scale. Many new tiatr artists and directors face challenges when presenting their shows abroad,” he stated.

He mentioned that all plans will be executed in consultation with all tiatrists, as well as the committee members.

It's important to note that after nearly a year, the government has appointed a new President for the Tiatr Academy, along with ten other board members.
