"Opposition Flying Blind While Youth Wait for Liftoff": Vishal Pai Cacode’s Sharp Political Satire

In a scathing piece of political satire, writer Vishal Pai Cacode has drawn attention to the growing frustration among Goa’s youth, particularly job aspirants in the health sector, while taking a jab at the state’s political leadership.

“As thousands of young girls and boys queued up at the Directorate of Health Services to check in for nursing jobs, Goa's runway of opportunities lay cracked, delayed, and directionless,” writes Cacode, using aviation metaphors to describe the bleak employment scenario.

Taking a direct swipe at the Opposition, he adds, “Ironically, the pilot of the Opposition Airlines continued to remain busy securing VIP seats for coal & coke patrons, showing complete indifference to the desperate young passengers at the gate.”

Cacode’s satire suggests a disconnect between political priorities and the real issues faced by the youth. “While the youth waited for liftoff, he stayed in the cockpit – lavish, privileged, and flying blind,” he concludes, painting a picture of leadership that is out of touch with ground realities.
