
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for Panjim and all other talukas across Goa, warning of moderate to intense rainfall accompanied by strong winds over the next 4 to 6 hours. Wind speeds are expected to range between 50–60 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 70 km/h.
The alert also forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall across several parts of the region, raising concerns over potential disruptions and hazards.

Residents are advised to stay indoors, avoid travel unless necessary, and remain alert to updates from local authorities. Fishermen and coastal dwellers have been particularly warned to avoid venturing into the sea.
