Panjim’s New Patto Bridge Closed for Repairs from April 11–14, Traffic Diversions Announced
Published on

The new Patto bridge in Panjim will remain closed to traffic from April 11 to 14 to facilitate urgent repairs to its damaged expansion joints. Commuters are advised to follow temporary traffic diversions in place during the maintenance period.

To minimize inconvenience, two-way traffic will be permitted on the bridge during morning hours before repair work resumes later in the day.

Once repair work is underway, traffic entering Panjim will be rerouted via the old Patto bridge. Vehicles will take a right turn near Soho Club, proceed past Umesh Keni Petrol Pump, and connect to Dayanand Bandodkar (DB) Road.

Within the city, outbound traffic will be diverted from Church Square towards Cortin. Vehicles will then take a right turn at the Cortin footbridge and exit the city via the new Mala bridge, which links to EDC Patto Plaza.

Authorities have urged motorists to cooperate with traffic marshals and follow signage to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the repair period. Commuters are also encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and expect minor delays during peak hours.
