Persistent parking violations at the two-wheeler parking space near the KTC Bus Stand in Margao are causing growing frustration among vehicle owners. Citizens have reported that four-wheelers and auto rickshaws routinely occupy spots clearly marked for two-wheelers.
To make room for their vehicles, these drivers often move already parked two-wheelers, leading to disorder and confusion. This careless and inconsiderate practice is not only a violation of traffic norms but also results in daily inconvenience for commuters and local residents.
Many two-wheeler owners have complained that the disruption makes it difficult to locate and access their vehicles, especially during peak hours. The mismanagement also adds to the existing congestion around the bus stand, one of South Goa’s busiest transport hubs.
Residents are calling on the authorities to enforce parking regulations more strictly and raise public awareness about respecting designated zones. Clear signage, penalties for violations, and regular monitoring are among the steps being urged to restore order and improve the parking experience for everyone.
