44-year-old man from Verla, Canca, lost his life in a road accident on the Zuari bridge on September 10. The victim, Mohammad Shakil, was hit by a truck while walking near his parked scooter on the bridge. He was rushed to GMC Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The truck was being driven by Hanamant Kutakanakeri from Karnataka. Police arrested him on the same day, though he was later released on bail.
