
Pernem Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Samir Korgaonkar following allegations of assaulting a minor girl. The case has been filed under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Goa Children’s Act, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The complaint, which involves serious charges of violence against a minor from a protected community, has prompted swift action by local law enforcement. A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) has been appointed to oversee the investigation, ensuring the case is handled with due diligence and sensitivity.
